Jasbo's Salsa arrived in this country in 1988. At this time I was working with an old Mexican gentleman named Jose. He brought a delicious chunky salsa to work everyday, a recipe passed down through generations of his family in Mexico. I enjoyed this salsa so much that old Jose decided to pass the recipe on to me. In the months to come I would learn how to select, chop, season, cook and can the fresh vegetables that go into Jasbo's Salsa.
For the first ten years Jasbo's was only enjoyed by my friends, relatives and co-workers. Then, with the encouragement of these folks and my new wife Mariela, we decided to market our product. To date, Jasbo's Salsa is sold mainly in mid-western states. But now you can taste and see why Jasbo's is known as the "Best salsa this side of the border".
